The members and staff of Civitas Law aim to protect and promote the data protection rights of individuals and of Chambers, by informing members and everyone working for and with Chambers, of their data protection obligations and of Chambers procedures that must be followed in order to ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
Civitas Law has updated its information management policy in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. The purpose of our policy is to prevent mismanagement of our information systems, assets and I.C.T. wherever possible in order to avoid or at least mitigate the following (the list is not exhaustive):
- proceedings under the General Data Protection Regulation
- the inability to provide services
- reputational and/or financial damage
- negligence claims
- breaches of confidentiality
- breaches of the BSB regulations
