Building Sustainable Communities
Civitas Law is once again a headline supporter of the RTPI Wales Planning Conference, held at City Hall, Cardiff. The conference this year looks at all aspects building sustainable communities in Wales and is a critical event to offer debate, in light of the Draft Planning Reform Bill and white Paper expected from the Welsh Government this year.
John Griffiths AM, Welsh Government Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development joins Dr Emyr Roberts, Chief Executive, Natural Resources Wale,s as the keynote speakers for the one-day event. VIPs from the Royal Town Planning Institute and those hosting plenary sessions will join the programme, including Civitas Law.

Delivering sustainable communities-your community or mine?
A panel led discussion on conflicting interests in the planning process – how are competing demands balanced, what is the proper the scope of development plans, guidance and policy, what is the role of the different bodies and just what interest is being served? The aim is to give practical guidance on priorities and bring clarity to the decision making process.
The conference will be held on the 5 June 2013 at City Hall, Cardiff.
