Chambers would like to congratulate Mona Bayoumi and Richard Cole following their re-appointment as Junior Counsel to the Crown (appointed until 2020).
Junior Counsel to the Crown undertake litigation on behalf of Government departments across a range of areas of law. Both Mona and Richard were first appointed as Junior Counsel to the Crown in 2010.
There are just 400 Junior Counsel to the Crown in England and Wales. There are currently nine counsel serving the whole of Wales. Five of the nine practise at Civitas. They are: Nicholas David Jones, Joanne Williams, Richard Cole, Mona Bayoumi and Victoria Hillier.
Bryan Thomas, the senior member of Civitas Law's Management Committee, said "Chambers' expertise in the public and civil work of Wales is substantial both in devolved and non-devolved fields. We are delighted with these appointments for UK central government."
