Civitas Law is delighted to welcome barrister Kate Parker who joins chambers as a Fixed Term Tenant. Kate’s unique, first-class pupillage experience placed her ahead of the tough competition, enabling her to work with clients efficiently and professionally in Chambers’ growing practice areas.
Having completed her pupillage at 9 Bedford Row in London, Kate gained extensive drafting experience in a range of contexts including, filings before the International Criminal Court, skeleton arguments and grounds of appeal before the High Court and Court of Appeal, and opinions on evidence and appeal.
She has also developed substantial advocacy experience in the County, Magistrates’, Youth and Crown Courts. Nicholas David Jones, member of the Management Board, said:"We are delighted Kate has joined us. She has all the credentials of a successful barrister. "She epitomises the talent we look for in order to deliver the technical and business support our clients need and expect in such challenging times. Kate understands the modern Bar and the needs of solicitors; she will go far."
Kate is 'delighted' at joining Civitas Law, being 'particularly attracted to the specialist approach to practice and progressive nature of the set'. Kate will develop her own practice and work with experts across all teams as well as contribute to client and sector seminars and training.
