The University of South Wales launched its new Legal and Financial Advice Clinic at an event held at The Atrium last night. The scheme will enable members of the public and small businesses who require advice to attend at the clinic where they will be assisted by students at the University.
The free clinics will provide legal and financial advice to members of the local community and, uniqely, give SME's and local start-up businesses access to specialist advice. At a time when funding for Legal Aid is radically changing, the University of South Wales’s Clinic will provide a free community-based face-to-face advice service. The scheme also provides students at the University to dvelop their skills and knowledge in a real world environmnt.
Civitas Law, as a pro bono partner, will provide supervision and assistance to law students.
Thos interested in using the scheme's services should visist the website at http://www.southwales.ac.uk/lafac/ and keep an eye out in the local press.
