Civitas Law is the main sponsor at 2019 Cardiff University Mooting Competition
Civitas Law continues to support the development of young lawyers in Wales through its contribution to the annual Cardiff University Mooting Competition. This is a key event with the academic programme and involves undergraduates together with those studying towards a Graduate Diploma in Law.
Members of Chambers Elizabeth Marshall and Christopher Howells were the judges for this year’s competitions. There were some excellent performances from the competitors and the winners receive mini pupillages at Civitas Law.
Rachel Anthony successful in first appeal under Housing (Wales) Act 2014
Rachel Anthony recently successfully represented the tenant in a key appeal concerning the requirement for Landlords to be licensed pursuant to Housing (Wales) Act 2014 in order to serve a section 21 notice.
