Owain Rhys James successful in jurisdiction argument before the Residential Property Tribunal

Owain Rhys James recently appeared before the Residential Property Tribunal in a Mobile Homes Act appeal. Instructed on behalf of the Respondent Local Authority he was successful in arguing that the Tribunal’s power to apply new conditions to mobile home site licences under the Mobile Homes (Wales) Act 2013 was limited to conditions which were related to those which were successful in the appeal.

 

Ian Meikle joins Civitas Law

Civitas law is delighted to announce that Ian Meikle has joined chambers.

Ian joins chambers having been practicing for three years in London at 42 Bedford Row. He accepts instructions in all of chambers' practice areas except for employment. He has a thriving personal injury practice and, having spent a period of time on secondment at Hackney Council, has extensive experience of housing law.

He is the author of the Westlaw Insight articles on Duty of Care, Causation in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, and on RTAs.
