Civitas Law consolidates its position in the new rankings from Chambers and Partners

The new edition of Chambers and Partners' UK Bar is out.  Civitas Law has 13 rankings for 8 of its members. 


We are the only set to have juniors ranked for Public and Administrative Law on the Wales and Chester Circuit; and all of those ranked for Clinical Negligence on circuit are members of Civitas Law. We are delighted to be described as being at the "forefront of personal injury law in Wales".

Owain Rhys James appointed Independent Appeals Panel Chairperson for the FAW

Owain Rhys James has been appointed as an Independent Appeals Panel Chairperson for the Football Association of Wales.


In his role, Owain will chair the FAW's disciplinary appeals panel on an ad hoc basis. He is one of six appointed Chairpersons and has been appointed for a term of three years.


Dan Dyson appears before the Court of Appeal

Dan Dyson led by Neil Hext QC of 4 New Square Chambers appeared before the Court of Appeal (Lady Justice Gloster and Lord Justice Tomlinson) on 22 and 23 November 2016 in the case of Rodney Channon (t/a Channon & Co) v John Ward (t/a Channon & Co).  Judgment will be handed down in due course.
