Civitas Law are hosting a CPD Seminar at Bangor University on 26th November 2013.
Owain Rhys James, barrister at Civitas Law, and Chambers' pupil William Rees will host the event. The seminar will provide details of recent changes to the civil litigation regime, will highlight recent case law, and provide practical hints and tips.
This CPD seminar is free and available to all those practising in any area of civil litigation.
Civitas Law supports launch of University of South Wales' Pro Bono Clinic
The University of South Wales launched its new Legal and Financial Advice Clinic at an event held at The Atrium last night. The scheme will enable members of the public and small businesses who require advice to attend at the clinic where they will be assisted by students at the University.
Bar Mock Trial Competition takes place this weekend
The Bar Mock Trial Competition regional heats will take place this weekend at the Cardiff Crown Court. The competition sees teams of 15 students from each school competing against each other in the active learning competition which is organised by the Citizenship Foundation. Students take the roles of lawyers, witnesses, court staff and jurors: local legal professional take control of proceedings by sitting as the Judge giving the students a real insight into the criminal justice system.
